Days 10 and 11

Day of rest and long paddle to Flø

It was a very windy day yesterday, so we decided to stay one more day with the wonderful people and animals at Hakallagården. In the midst of relaxing, we received two phone calls from journalists who have heard about our trip. We will be interviewed live on 'opptur' early Sunday morning, around 7:30 am, and another interview may take place in Ålesund - depending on the weather. We are not quite sure about when we will arrive there, but hopefully tomorrow. We set the alarm for 4:00 am this morning and were in the boats just after 5:00 am. The first kilometers were wonderful, with no wind and a flat sea. Then suddenly, when we came to beautiful Stokksund, we experienced terrible headwinds. Bergliot loved seeing Runde in the distance since it reminded her of the Faroes. Runde is famous for its puffin colony. We are now in gorgeous Flø, checking the weather report and planning the trip to Ålesund - and replenishing our calorie supply by eating, eating, eating 🙂
